Breast Reconstruction

Breast reconstruction is the process of rebuilding a breast that has been lost or damaged due to cancer, trauma or congenital deficiencies.

In this process:

• Own tissues (tissue taken from areas such as the abdomen, back) or

• A new breast shape is created using silicone or saline (salt water) implants.

Purpose: To restore both the physical appearance and psychological well-being of the person and to create a natural breast appearance.
